The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff and tattoo artists. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Upon completion of the online course, students receive a course completion certificate that can be presented to employers. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

In-Person Training

For the in-person class you go to the class location and meet with the instructor. This is recommended if you need to meet requirements for in-person training or if you prefer hands-on training. Please check with your employer or school first to make sure this option fits their requirements. A printed certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the course. The course takes about 1 hour to complete.

Online Learning

Online learning allows you to take the class online at your convenience. An AHA course activation code will be emailed to you and you will have 30 days from the time you receive the code to complete the course. The online course usually takes about 1 hour depending on your pace. Once you complete the online course you will be able to print a certificate of completion.
