Service Description

Heartsaver CPR/AED Course provides the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of CPR and how to use an AED. The course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community. The course is designed for people with little or no medical training. Completion of this course leads to the trainee being certified for two years in accordance with the American Heart Association’s guidelines. An AHA certification card is issued to all successful attendees at the end of the course. What is taught in this course: How high-quality CPR improves survival The concepts of the Chain of Survival Recognizing when someone needs CPR Performing high-quality CPR for an adult How to perform CPR with help from others Giving effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups How to use an AED on an adult Performing high-quality CPR for a child* How to use an AED on a child* Performing high-quality CPR for an infant* When and how to help a choking adult or child How to help a choking infant* *Child and infant modules are optional. Cancellation Policy

There is no refund once you pay for a class. Your payment can be applied to a future class if you have an emergency (COVID exposure, death of a loved one), but not if you simply don't show up to a class or you decide to make other plans. The instructors commit to the schedule on this site and this class takes significant set-up time. We are a small business and will lose money if instructors commit to a class, but no one shows up. You can re-schedule to another class with 48 hours notice (less in the case of an emergency). Blended Learning classes have a no refund/no rescheduling policy. Once you pay for the course you must complete the course (online portion and skills session) within 30 days of receiving your activation code. The activation code is only good for 30 days. It is the responsibility of the student to complete the course within the 30 day time frame. Failure to complete the course within the time frame will result in the student needing to purchase the course again to access it.
