Service Description

The US Coast Guard (USCG) has approved the AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course as meeting the USCG Elementary First Aid* training requirements of: Elementary First Aid per STCW Code Table A-VI/1-3; Elementary First Aid per 46 CFR 11.302(a)(3) and 46 CFR 12.602(a)(3); The first aid and CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(1) This course is specially designed to meet the qualifications required by the US Coast Guard for those seeking their Captain's License (or similar). It includes adult, child, and infant CPR/AED training in addition to First Aid training, and the required USGC certificate of completion. This course has 2 components: an online portion and a skills portion. Once you have purchased the course you will be emailed an online portion to complete. YOU MUST COMPLETE EVERY SECTION OF THE TRAINING INCLUDING ALL OPTIONAL TOPICS at 100% and YOU MUST COMPLETE THE EXAM PORTION. This will be your responsibility to complete. Once you have completed every topic and the exam there will be a certificate of completion that you will need to send us via text or email showing that you have completed that portion of the training. Then you will schedule a skills session to come in and work through the skills. The online portion will take about 3 hours to complete depending on your speed, and the in person portion will take about 2 hours to complete. Everything is included in this price, so don't pay seperately for a skills session. The online and skills portion need to be completed within 30 days of receiving the course. You can save your progress and work through the online portion at your convenience.

Cancellation Policy

There is no refund once you pay for a class. Your payment can be applied to a future class if you have an emergency (COVID exposure, death of a loved one), but not if you simply don't show up to a class or you decide to make other plans. The instructors commit to the schedule on this site and this class takes significant set-up time. We are a small business and will lose money if instructors commit to a class, but no one shows up. You can re-schedule to another class with 48 hours notice (less in the case of an emergency). Blended Learning classes have a no refund/no rescheduling policy. Once you pay for the course you must complete the course (online portion and skills session) within 30 days of receiving your activation code. The activation code is only good for 30 days. It is the responsibility of the student to complete the course within the 30 day time frame. Failure to complete the course within the time frame will result in the student needing to purchase the course again to access it.
